Mikhalev Igor Vasilyevich

Since September 27th Igor Mikhalev has been appointed Rector of MSHEU.

The Ministry of Education and Science approved Igor Mikhalev as Rector of the Moscow State Humanitarian and Economic University.

Igor Vasilyevich graduated from the Buryat Agricultural Institute in 1986. Then, in 2019, Igor Vasilyevich graduated from the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, where he also studied in graduate school.

Igor Mikhalev is the author of 81 educational and scientific publications. He also has an academic degree of Candidate of sociological sciences and the academic title of associate professor in the specialty “National Economics and Management”. He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Federation Council, the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the II degree and departmental awards.

Prior to his appointment as Acting Rector of MSHEU in November 2021, he worked as Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, Tourism and National Policy.

Recall that in the spring of 2022, a Conference of employees and students on the election of the rector of MSHEU was held, where, according to the results of voting, the acting rector of the university, Igor Mikhalev, was elected to the post of rector of MSHEU by an absolute majority of votes.
