The first open digital lesson “Games of the Future” was held at MSHEU

On April 28, the first open digital lesson was held at the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity of the Moscow State Humanitarian and Economic University, which was dedicated to 300 days before the start of the international tournament “Games of the Future”.

The Games of the Future will be held in Kazan from February 23 to March 2, 2024. 9 competitive days, 16 different disciplines – from drone racing to martial arts, which will unite 2 thousand participants. All disciplines are divided into five categories: sports, tactical, combat, technical, passing speed games.

Teachers of the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity addressed the students. During the lesson, students were told about the possibilities of digital sports and the history of its origin in our country: in 2023, the Ministry of Sports of Russia entered it into the register of sports. Students received information about the structure of the virtual sports system, about the disciplines of the “Games of the Future”, as well as about the prospects for the development and training of specialists of the new format.

“A very interesting idea! I would like to see how all this will develop in our country and in our university. And, of course, to participate,” Alyona Sedova, a 2nd–year student of the Applied Informatics in Bioinformatics Technologies, shared her impressions.
