The team of MSHEU took a bronze at the “Steel Will”

The first stage of the All-Russian football competitions “Steel Will” among people with disabilities and disabilities has ended in Nizhny Tagil. 470 people took part in the competition in three categories: men, women and boys from 15 to 18 years: a total of 50 teams from 20 regions of Russia. The tournament is being held for the second year in a row – last year it gathered more than 2,000 people.
This year, competitions were held in 8 disciplines: football for people with CP disease, amputee football, deaf football, mini-football for people with intellectual disabilities, blind football, visually impaired football, electric wheelchair football, transplant football – football among people with transplanted organs and/or on dialysis.
The team of the Moscow State Humanitarian and Economic University “Scorpions” fought for the victory in the tournament again. Thanks to hard training for two years of participation in the “Steel Will”, their piggy bank of awards was replenished with silver and two bronze medals. This year, the university team consisting of Roman Dubinkin, Alexander Simchenko, Ravil and Damir Zaripov took bronze in football on electric wheelchairs. With this, the Scorpions made their way to the final, which will be held at the end of September at the Sirius venue in Sochi.
